Rhuben "Rudy" Floyd Caffey, 81 years old, Springfield, MO died at 10:05 PM on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Cox South Hospital.

Rudy was born on August 6, 1937 in Caffeyville, MO, a small town started by his Grandfather. I-44 purchased the small town when the highway was built. Rudy spent most of his life in Springfield. He was in the Navy for 8 years, He attended Senior High School, worked in heating and A/C most of his life, until he opened his own business- Rudy Caffey Heating & Air, and worked until he had a heart attack and was forced to retire.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lola Francis Beyer, father Rhuben Verdet, and step-son Andy Vickery. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Priscilla Caffey, sister Carletta Adams, step-daughter Lisa Ramsey, son James Caffey, 4 step-grandchildren, and a step-great grandson.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hazelwood Cemetery under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Pastor Carol Clark officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 27 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
