Retha June Holt, 85, of Jasper passed away on Monday, January 01, 2018 at Timberidge Nursing Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends on Thursday, January 04, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, MO with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 4:00 p.m. under the direction of Shultz Funeral Home of Jasper, TX. Interment will be held on Friday, January 05, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO.

Retha was born on June 14, 1932 in Mountain Grove, MO to Henry & Ethel Wade. She spent her time volunteering at St. John's Hospital and teaching Sunday School and VBS. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry & Ethel Wade and her husband Carl "Tom" Holt. Retha is survived by her son Kent Holt & wife Cheryl of Muskogee, OK; a daughter Denise South & husband Bryan of Jasper, TX; brother-in-law Chuck Duran of Houston, TX; numerous nieces & nephews; also 4 grandchildren Isaac & Aaron Holt and Benjamin & Zachary South.
