Obituary

Rebekah (Becky) Franklin of Ozark, MO, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Becky loved and laughed generously. Every person Becky met became a quick friend. She was always up for an experience or adventure and found joy in both the big and small moments of life. She had a loving heart for dogs, particularly rescues. She spent her time volunteering at Rescue One animal rescue in Springfield MO, and opened her home to foster and even adopt dogs in need of a second chance. When not loving on her pups, Becky could often be found outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and spending time on the water. One of Becky’s greatest joys in life was being Gram Gram to her four granddaughters. She was always eager to spoil her grandbabies with a sweet treat, a new toy, or a local adventure.

Becky grew up in Rogers, AR with her two sisters (Teresa Hoyt and Jennifer Cox) and her parents (Charles and Carolyn Ruede). In early childhood, she worked alongside her parents on their family farm. She went to school at Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, AR, and then to high school at Rogers High School. Upon graduating, Becky moved to McPherson, Kansas to attend Central Christian College of Kansas. In adulthood, Becky married and had two children, Brooke Conklin and Colton Franklin, and raised them in Rogers, AR. She later moved to Rogersville, MO and then Ozark, MO where she enjoyed her later life. In each place and phase of life Becky lived she found deep friendships and left joy with all who knew her. Those that were especially close to Becky, knew that she also had a deep love of 80’s classic rock, big bangs, colorful clothes, sweet treats, and spending time with those she loved.

Becky is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Ruede. She is survived by her father Charles Ruede of Rogers AR, children Brooke Conklin (Alan) of Liberty Twp. OH, Colton Franklin (Lindsey) of Springfield, MO, grandchildren Hadley, Zoey, Camille, and Eloise Conklin, sisters Teresa Hoyt (Ken), and Jennifer Cox.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on May 9th, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Rogersville in Rogersville, MO.
