Rebecca Anne Bright, 63, of Springfield, Missouri passed away at 5:45pm August 31st, 2023 at Cox Hospital after a hard fight against breast cancer. She went in peace and was reunited with her mother, Connie Sade, in heaven who passed earlier this summer.
She was born in Springfield, Missouri to Boyd and Connie Sade on July 7, 1960. She attended school in Springfield and graduated from Glendale High in 1978. She was a proud member of the Glendale "Scotties" during her time there. She went on to attend Missouri State University and graduated in 1982 with a BS in Office Administration.
"Becky" worked at Forvis (formerly BKD) for 41 years and it is a legacy she leaves behind. Working gave her joy even in her last days.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and supporter. She welcomed everyone around her with open arms and made sure they felt at home and taken care of in her presence. She was a giver.
On March 3, 2006 Becky married Roy L. Bright and celebrated 17 beautiful and loving years of marriage. Roy survives her along with her two children Brandon and Ashley (JT). Becky also leaves behind her father Boyd Sade, brother Steve Sade (Heather) and a slew of nieces, nephews: Taylor Sade (Patricia), Tanner Sade (Holly) as well as Tanner's children Merrick and Maia. Her family was her greatest joy in raising and doting on.
A celebration of life will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:30pm on Friday, September 8, 2023. Funeral services to to be announced for the family.
