Obituary

Reba Dulin Collier, age 95, Springfield, Mo. Reba passed away quietly January 2 at Manor Care. Reba was born on January 15, 1919 on a farm near Brookline, Missouri. Her Garoutte, O'Neal, Dulin, and Robertson ancestors were early settlers in Greene County. She lived briefly other places, but always returned to Springfield. She worked as an X-Ray technician for Dr. Bauer and later as a clerk for City Utilities. Many people from this period may remember her as Reba Myers. Her Grandfather's farm is now the site of the Southwest Power Plant where she worked in the 1970s. She sold Avon for many years after her retirement. Reba "never met a stranger" but was friends to all she met. Reba was predeceased by her son Lester Ray King. She is survived by her son Kip King, her granddaughter Deborah Gannon, her grandson Robert King, and three great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Manor Care, Springfield, and Good Shepherd Hospice for her care during her last years. They truly became her extended family. Friends may call Tuesday January 6 from 7 to 8 PM at Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10am Wednesday January 7 followed by burial at Greenlawn. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her name to Asbury Methodist Church or the activities fund at Manor Care, Springfield.
