Raymond Kordisch, 95 of Lakeview, Arkansas passed away on March 15, 2011. One of four brothers, he was born on December 12, 1915 and married his wife of 67 years, Alice, in 1944. An entrepreneur and air force sergeant in his younger years, Ray was an award winning fisherman and lived in his beloved Ozarks in retirement. He and Alice were rarely apart during their long and enduring time together. Ray owned and operated Lakeshore Resort in Lakeview and was happiest while bass fishing on his boat. He built his treasured Ozark home himself with hand-selected rocks from the shores of Bull Shoals Lake for his garden and sidewalks. A lover of birds and nature, Ray often ate only half of his dinner with the intention of leaving the plate on the deck to watch woodland animals appear to enjoy the other half. Ray was most remembered for his sense of humor and wit, which endeared him to many and spread smiles across faces for all of his nine decades. He was a devoted father, husband and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri on Saturday, March 19th at 3pm. The internment with full military honors will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Home, Arkansas on Monday, March 21st at 1pm.
