Ralph Ritter, 88, of Springfield, passed away April 9, 2022. He was born May 24, 1933 in Cosby, MO to Carl and Alma Ritter. He graduated from Savannah High School and joined the U.S. Army Special Services 10 ^th Infantry in Fort Riley, KS. After discharge, he worked at Quaker Oats, Kent Feeds and Archer Daniel Ag Div. He also worked with USDA Universities and agribusinesses on plant and soil science research and animal nutrition.

Relocating to Springfield for family, he worked for Gannett publishing as National Account Manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughters Deborah and Tracy.

He is survived by his wife, Viola; daughter, Kelly (Josh); granddaughter, Sarah; stepson, David Thomas and brother, Ronald.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
