Queenie Mae (King) Koch, 89, of Springfield, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in Ash Grove Nursing Center. She was born February 12, 1920 in Hermitage, Mo., to Lon and Cora Mae (Bowen) King. On July 3, 1939 she married Joseph A. Koch. Together they would co-own Rockwood Motel, Rockwood Café and Diamond Automotive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Richard Alan Koch; and three brothers, Donald King, Dave King, and Sam King. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Baron and Linda Aspelmeier; three grandchildren, Kelli Reid, Bobette Caffey, and Mark Grundy; one step-grandson, Jeff Aspelmeier; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009 in White Chapel Cemetery with the Reverend John Biggs officiating under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
