Priscilla Ann (Cantrell) Ragsdale, 80, a beacon of love, faith, and unwavering devotion, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on December 18, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. She was a cherished mother and grandmother whose life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and devout faith. Priscilla was born on August 18, 1943, in Marshfield, Missouri, to parents Fred Roosevelt and Lillie Magdalene (Poindexter) Cantrell. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1961 and went on to attend Burge School of Nursing and Drury University where she became a registered nurse. Priscilla worked as a nurse in Southwest Missouri and farmed and milked cattle for many years.
Priscilla was raised with strong Christian values that became the guiding principles of her life. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her being, shaping her actions and interactions with all those around her.
As a mother, she poured boundless love, wisdom, and guidance into the lives of her children, nurturing them with grace and compassion. As a grandmother, she delighted in the laughter and innocence of her grandchildren, imparting not just love but also invaluable life lessons.
Priscilla is survived by her husband Gary; her sister Carol Price of Springfield; two children Dan Ragsdale (Chansouk) of Springfield, Missouri and Matthew Ragsdale (Christina) of Seattle, Washington; eight grandchildren Lilly, Danielle, Dalton, Tristan, TJ, Kelsey, Phillip and Christopher; two great-grandchildren and many more friends and relatives deeply touched by her grace.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, her love continuing to shine brightly through the memories and values she instilled in those who were blessed to have her in their lives.
