Obituary

Phyllis Rae Ridder, age 68, passed away peacefully in her home on May 13, 2021 due to many ailments.  She was born on October 15, 1952 in Clinton, AR to Ray and Hazel (Reves) Eggers.  She grew up in Marshall, AR and moved to Springfield, MO in 1965.  She graduated from Glendale High School and continued to receive her bachelor's degree at SMS.
Phyllis loved reading, cross stitching, crafting, being with her granddaughters and the beach.  She worked most of her career at Consumers and Smillie's grocery stores.
Phyllis is survived by her Husband, Steve Ridder, Daughter, Valerie Duncan (Rob), Daughter, Sarah Smith (Brad), Sister, Rita Harris (Dan), Brother, Atlas Craig (Terri), Grandchildren, Taylor, Livy, Lexi and Chloe.  Phyllis is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Ridder, Father, Ray Eggers, Mother, Hazel (Reves) Eggers, Father-In-Law, Robert Ridder and Mother-In-Law, Beverly Ridder.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 10am at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804.  Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the funeral at Resurrection Cemetery, 4528 W Division St, Springfield, MO 65802.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
