Phyllis J. Miller, 76, Springfield, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly in her home Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was born October 30, 1932, in Sarcoxie, Missouri, to John Forrest and Francis Whitaker. Phyllis was united in Marriage to Victor A. Miller Jr. on August 8, 1951, in Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents. Phyllis is survived by her husband; a daughter, Debbie L. Ice and husband, Wayne, Osceola, Mo.; two sons, Dr. Guy F. Miller, Nixa, Mo., and Mark W. Miller and wife, Becky, Nixa, Mo.; grandchildren, Lauren Miller, Austin Miller, Allison Miller, Jennifer Ice, Jyssica Miller, and Kristin Miller; great-grandchild Ethan Ice; a sister, Joyce and Joan Woodward, Fairfax, Va.; and nieces and nephews, Cindy Dupree, Jamie Woodward, and Kristen Cole. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until service time Friday, April 17, 2009, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. April 17, 2009, in the funeral home, with Pastor Jay Risner officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m., in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery. She will always be remembered as the best wife, mother, grandmother and sister with a heart bigger then life. She so loved her family, loved holidays and never forgot a birthday. She will always reign as the queen of crib and the love of Vic's life.
