Phyllis Imogene “Jean” Wilkinson was born on November 26, 1932 in Garden City, Missouri. She passed away on July 25, 2026 in Springfield, MO. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Wilkinson, brother JB Cummins, daughter Margaret “Meg” Wampler, son-in-law Chris Wampler, many other family members, friends and dogs.

She is survived by her son Michael Wilkinson, daughters-in-law Saundra Wilkinson and Denise Wilkinson; grandchildren Jennifer Carey, Sean Wilkinson, Alex Wampler, Courtney Wampler, and Marguerite “Maggie” Wilkinson; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A private family interment will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held  at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home officiated by Rev. James (Jim) Wilkinson with music by A’Laura Abramovitz.
