Phyllis M. Heyle, 89, of Springfield passed away at 7:30am Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in St. Johns hospital. She was born October 2, 1922 in Springfield to Ben and Maude Anderson Schneider. Phyllis graduated from Springfield Central High School and St. John's School of Nursing and was a practicing RN for a number of years. In earlier years she was active in a number of civic and community groups. She was a member of Twin Oaks Country Club, a 60 year member of PEO, and a lifelong member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Above all, Phyllis loved her family and dear friends. Her husband Hugh W. Heyle preceded her in death July 9, 1988. She is survived by her son Kirk A. Heyle and wife Lori of Springfield, MO; Daughter Leslee A. Jaquette of Bellevue, WA; Brother Robert B. Schneider and wife Martha Jean of Lenexa, KS; Nephews James "Jim" Schneider of Portland, OR; James Heyle and wife Hannah of NY, NY; Grandchildren Lindsey Heyle of Kansas City; Lauren Heyle Burk and husband Kyle of Dallas, TX; Roger Jaquette and wife Jackie of Aliso Viego, CA; and Adam Jaquette of Lawndale, CA. A Memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, December 2, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the reverend Ellen Brantley officiating. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery.
