Phyllis Boehm, 83 of Springfield passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Christian Health Center-Nixa. She was born September 23, 1930 in Springfield to John and Brooksie Hedrick Bethurem. Phyllis was a graduate of Central High School and married Edward Boehm on May 30, 1948. They moved to Las Vegas in 1979 and she returned to Springfield last year. She worked as a printer/pressman for many years, prior to retiring. She always loved cooking and had become an avid walker in her later years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and husband, Edward in 1994. She is survived by her son, Eric Boehm of Springfield; her daughter, Gloria (Don) Murphy of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister, Mary Ellen Politano of Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
