Philip Robinett, 78, of Springfield, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, died Thursday, April, 21, 2011 in his home. He was born August 25, 1932 in Brownwood, Texas. Mr. Robinett is a U. S. Navy Veteran. Following his Naval Service, he joined the Memphis, TN Police Department where he retired as Captain after serving thirty-two years. He and his first wife Blanche had two children; a son, Scott and a daughter, Holly who both survive and live in Memphis. Also surviving are his second wife Linda, of Springfield, his sister, Roberta Rier of Jacksonville, OR, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At Mr. Robinett's request, no services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel.
