Perri Lynn Pender passed away after a strong and courageous battle with cancer in her sleep at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida on April 12, 2017.  At the age of 62.  Perri was born in Springfield MO on May 25, 1954.  Perri is preceded in death by her parents. Sheriff Glenn Hendrix and Ada Hendrix of Springfield, Mo. She is survived by loving husband, Doug Pender; Son, Michael Pender; step-son, Sean Pender and his wife, Kelly Pender, who have four kids Tristan, Connor, Ethan and Chloe; brother-in-law, Mike Pender and nephew, Dane Pender; mother-in-law, Sally Pender; many other cousins, family members, and friends from all over.

Perri grew up in Springfield, MO and graduated from Glendale High School in 1972. She moved to Kansas City in 1976 where she became an accomplished real estate agent and loan officer.  One of her biggest accomplishments was to become president of the Kansas City real estate board. There is no doubt that the presence of Perri would last a lifetime if you ever had the chance to meet her. Her warm and inviting personality made you feel comfortable and welcomed, while she made you feel like a friend or part of the family in a matter of seconds.  There was nothing she loved more than being able to plan and cook for gatherings, holidays, and events with her family and friends.  As an avid cook, she loved sharing recipes with people from all over the country on her Facebook page "cooking with divas". Doug and Perri just celebrated 42 years of a loving marriage in March.  When asked if they would do it all over again they both said "in a heartbeat".

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 12 noon in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with a visitation starting at 11 am until service time.  Burial will follow in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery.
