Peggy Sue Vickers, age 86, passed away peacefully April 29th, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Peggy was born in Buena Vista, Mississippi on May 4th, 1935 to Lois Ray and Virgil Kemp. She was married on March 25th, 1965 to Vernon Wayne Vickers. Together, Peggy and Vernon had six children, including Mitch Gunby (Suzanne) of Longview, Texas, Vernon "Billy" Vickers (Tracy)
of Springfield, Missouri, David Vickers of Cookville, Texas, and Tony McKinney of Sugarhill, Texas.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Vernon of 33 years, her parents, and two sons, Mike Gunby and Jerry Gunby.

Peggy is survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Peggy's favorite things in life were playing keyboard, spending time with family, and especially making chicken and dumplings with granddaughter Maggie Vickers.

Peggy's wish was to be cremated and thus no services are planned.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and location
