Obituary

Peggy Lou Brennan, 80, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, June 24th 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born November 18, 1933 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. The daughter of the late Fred and Brennie Lou Jones. She spent much of her life in West Memphis, Arkansas, where she raised her sons, and operated the Credit Bureau. Peggy had a strong faith and loved the Lord. She was a great cook. She enjoyed good food and socializing, going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile and personality that could light up a room. In 1975 she was united in marriage to Frank Brennan. Together they worked in sales, living in Pensacola and Orlando, Florida. In 2000 they moved to Springfield. Peggy is survived by husband Frank; son Steve Sartain, his wife Cindy and their children Kelsie, Kaitlyn and Brently; son Chris Sartain, his wife Debbie and their children Keri and Danielle; sister Jane Bourbon; and two nephews Todd Bourbon and Travis Bourbon; and a host of friends. The highlight of her life was being with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her GB. Services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM and will be preceded by visitation beginning at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Avenue United Methodist Church.
