Peggy Ann Abel, 89 of Strafford passed away August 1, 2023 at Mercy Hospital. She was born to Reece and Margaret (Moor) Hamman on May 7, 1934 in Trinidad, CO.
Peggy was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was also an excellent cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. For several years she worked and volunteer at the Strafford Senior Center.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Hamman, daughter Cheryl Salazar (Henry), son Billy Abel (Julie) and a grandson Greg Salazar.
She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 73 years, Guy Abel, Jr., son Guy Abel III. Three brothers, Reece Hamman (Carmen), Richard Hamman (Elsie), Earnest Hamman (Renee). Five grandchildren, Renee Brody (Brandon) of CO, Ashley Salazar of CO, Jeremiah Abel (Kirsten) of IA, Chelsea Abel of Republic and Gary Abel. Two step granddaughters, Amanda Carter and Alicia Gagnon. Lot's of great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren.
Peggy was a wonderful lady and her loss is deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
