Paul Eugene Potter, age 74, of Springfield passed away on June 11, 2011. Paul was born in Dexter, Iowa on January 25, 1937. He grew up in the Lebanon and Sleeper, MO area and was a graduate of Stoutland High in 1955. Paul served in the armed forces where he was an honor guard; after which, he lived and worked as a master electrician for Kraft Foods in Springfield. Paul leaves behind his wife, Ann; daughters, Paula Ann and Elizabeth of Springfield; sisters, Louise Willard and family of Sleeper; Clara Winfrey and family of Stoutland; Mary Wright and family of Upton, KY; and the children of his brother Merlyn. His wife and daughters wish to thank his oncologist, Dr. Gary Hoos, the nurses and staff of St. John's 7th floor cancer center and the intensive care unit for their treatment and care of Paul, and Father Charles Uhlik for his prayers and comfort. A memorial is planned for a later date.
