Paul Edward Allen, age 72 of Springfield, Missouri passed away on October 22, 2020 while in the care of Mercy Hospital. He was born in Humansville, Missouri on August 18, 1948, and grew up in his hometown of Weaubleau, Missouri. His family later moved to Osceola Missouri where he graduated from Osceola High School in 1966. Paul was an active in the US Marines from 1967-1968 and was a Marine Reservist for several years after serving active duty. Known by nearly everyone as "P.A." Paul was known for his quick-witted humor, dirty jokes and loving his favorite dog "Lil Bit." Paul was a jovial soul who quickly made friends and made an impression. He was preceded in death by his father Glenn E. Allen and his brother Ronald P. Allen. He is survived by his mother Frances L. Tuck, his brother Randall L. Allen, niece Dori (Allen) Grinder & family and nephew Deni Allen & family, and many friends and loved-ones. A graveside service with full military honors was held at the Fairview Butcher Cemetery in Hickory County on December 10, 2020 with the Reverend Stanley McCoy officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
