Obituary

Our beloved Patsy stepped into the arms of God on July 13, 2012. Patsy was born on July 27, 1940 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Ted and Margaret (Hemphill) Wolfe. She attended high school in Springfield, at which time she met the love of her life, David Hashagen. Patsy and David were married April 17, 1959. To this union three boys and one girl were born. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jackie. She is survived by her husband, David; four children, Chris, Ty and wife Linda, John and wife Christi and Paige and husband Ben King; two sisters, Sherry Herdrick and Betty Ginnebaugh; eight grandchildren, Lindsay, Amy and husband Thomas Allen, Brad and wife Jessica, Emily, John, Spencer, Alexa, Saylor; and newborn great-granddaughter, Addison. She was an active member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church since 1959 and participated in numerous groups including Binnie Clements, Christ Care and PEO. She participated in many bridge groups over the years, along with being a member of Amateur d' Art. Patsy was a lover of life, the arts, travel, music and shopping. She loved to cook and entertain for her many friends and family. Her unique sense of style and infectious smile were unmistakable. Patsy was such a giving person, with her last act of kindness being her generous donation of organ donation. She will always be remembered fondly. As she would often say "There will never be another Mamoo like me!" Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. in First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. Reception in Atrium following the service. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to Oak Star Bank, 1020 E.
