Patricia Jane Phillips, wife of the late A. Wilson Phillips, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was 93.

Born Patricia Jane Buckallew, the fifth child of Raymond and Grace Buckallew of Centerville, Iowa, Patricia moved to Kansas City, Missouri in May 1947 after graduation from high school. It was there she later met and married her husband of 61 years.

The two became Christians in the 1960's and later felt a call to full-time ministry. After serving in other ministry appointments in Sedalia and Republic, Wilson and Patricia founded Abundant Life Ministries of Springfield, Missouri in 1983, and were senior pastors of that ministry until his death in 2009.

Patricia had five siblings: brothers Forest and Bobbie Buckallew and sisters Garnet Hansen, Mildred Buckallew, and Ruby Woodburn who all preceded her in death, as well as her beloved grandson, John Wilson Phillips, who passed away on September 13, 2021.

Patricia is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren: son Stephen, wife Sally; grandson John Phillips' wife Swatti and grandson Anand Phillips; grandson Thomas, wife Megan, and great-granddaughters Julia and Adelaide Phillips; grandson Tyler, wife Heidi, and great-grandchildren Anja, Liam, and John Phillips; granddaughter Elizabeth, husband Jonathan, and great-grandchildren Ella, Norah, Grace, and Jack Wesser; daughter Beverly, husband Walter Dimmitt, and granddaughter Yolanda, husband Jesse Rocha, and great-grandchildren Brock, Tanner, and Mason Steinert; grandson Patrick, wife Elizabeth, and great-grandson Stone Dimmitt; grandson Andrew, wife Kathy, and great-grandchildren Avery, Kennedy, and Elijah Dimmitt; son Timothy, wife Phyllis, and grandsons Graham and Taylor Phillips and great-grandson Elijah Phillips.

Patricia also leaves behind many beloved spiritual children too numerous to list from the ministry she loved and co-founded with her husband; Abundant Life Church.

Visitation will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, located at 1947 E. Seminole Street in Springfield on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held by Pastor Ben Davis at Abundant Life Church located at 3531 S. Scenic Avenue on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:00am.
