Mrs. Patricia L. (Gardner) Meyer died Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Ozark Riverview Manor nursing home after a long illness. She was born May 24, 1930, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Ina (Montgomery) Gardner; she was 81 years old. A lifelong resident of Springfield, she graduated from Springfield High School. She was married to Robert J. Meyer on December 27, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and by a son, Matthew Meyer. She is survived by one son, Joseph Meyer, Springfield; two daughters, Marie Cook, St. Louis, and Amelia Mooney, Springfield; five grandchildren, Gretchen Meyer, Nick Meyer, Byron Meyer, David Shaw, and Noah Mooney; and one great grandson, Myles Meyer.
