Patricia "Pat" Librach, 84, of Springfield died peacefully Friday, January 18, 2013 at James River Care Center. She was born December 30, 1928 in Towanda, Pennsylvania to Ilo and Joseph Weaver. She spent much of her life in Wichita, Kansas, where she earned her bachelor's degree in English at Wichita University. Pat was a retail proprietor and employee for many years in Springfield; owning Chick's Casuals along with her husband Ralph "Chick" Librach. She had a love of classic movies, was an avid reader and loved spending time with her three cats that lived with her and her son Mark, with whom she shared a home. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and her love for her family. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Chick" Librach and a very special "Auntie" Lucille Humphries. She is survived by a brother, Larry Weaver, her son Mark Librach, her daughter and son-in-law Jan and Dexter Davis, stepsons and wives Ron and Anita Librach and Mike and Joy Librach. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joel Davis and wife Allison, Heather Davies and husband Ryan and Brian and Melissa Librach. Her treasured great-grandchildren include Audrey Davis, and Lucy and Thomas Davies. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 25, 2013 in Hazelwood Cemetery under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Pat's Mercy Physicians; Dr. Kim, Dr. Raju, Dr. Jesse Taylor and Dr. Thomas Thomas, as well as, the staff of James River Care Center and Rehabilitation for their kind and compassionate care.
