Patricia Ann Robertson Lewis, 83, Springfield, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 after a sudden illness. She was born March 6, 1929 in Hinsdale, IL, and was the daughter of Jeanette and Andrew Robertson. She was united in marriage to James Maurice Lewis on December 3, 1949. After their marriage they resided in Cuba and West Plains, Mo; where she devoted her time to raising her family. During her time in West Plains Patricia enjoyed a fulfilling career with Ozark Action where she made many lifelong friends. After retirement, she and her husband James moved to Springfield. She enjoyed living near her grandchildren, as well as volunteering at Cox Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, loved traveling, reading, and spending time with her sweet dog Beau. Preceding Patricia in death were her parents Andrew and Jeanette Robertson, brother; Jack Robertson, husband; James, infant daughter; Mary Catherine, and nephew; Bill Rose. She is survived by her loving family, sisters; Eleanor Rose of State College, Pennsylvannia, Jean Black of Sonoma, California, daughters; Sharon Orlikowski (Phil) of West Plains, Debra Lewis of Springfield, Nancy Lay (Ken) of Eastvale, California, and Anne Ramsey (Greg) of Springfield. She is survived by nine grandchildren; James Bentley, April Due, Amanda Hinson, Andre Due, Erin DeGroot, Kristin Lay, Annie Lay, Erica Ramsey, Andrew Ramsey; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter Bentley, Conner Bentley, Cathryn Christmas, Houston Christmas, Ben DeGroot, and Aubrey DeGroot, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services and Visitation will be Saturday, August 25th at 10 a.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
