Patricia (Trish) Jane (Martin) Grassa from Springfield, MO passed away peacefully on Aug 22, 2024 after a brief hospitalization.  She is survived by son Scott Edward, sisters Sandy Simon & Marty (Mike) Jones, brother Richard (Maria) Martin and sisters Claire Sharkey and Christine (Eric) Meduho as well as many special & adoring nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband Edward & son Michael & brothers-in-law Chuck Simon & Gerald Sharkey.

Trish was born Jan 8, 1952 to the late Richard and Margaret Martin in Mt Sterling, KY, & graduated Bethel Park HS (1970), Kutztown Univ, PA (1974) & Drury Univ (Masters degree).  She married Edward Grassa Feb 15, 1975.

After brief stops in Kutztown, New Ulm, MN & McKinney, TX, they settled in Springfield in 1992.

Trish was an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  She had 29 faithful and dedicated years as the caring & nurturing Dept Head for B.A.S.E.  Trish will be long remembered for her tremendous love of her precious students, family & friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
