Patricia (Ann) Downing Pat passed away at the age of 86 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO on March 6, 2014. Pat was born May 22, 1927, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Frank and Faye Kennan. The family moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1941, where she attended St. James grade school and Lillis High School. She was accepted as a TWA Hostess (flight attendant) in 1948, and worked in that position until 1958. She met and married TWA Capt. Robert C. Downing of Halltown, Missouri in 1958. They resided in Kansas City for a short time, and then moved to R.C.'s farm in Halltown, Missouri, where she lived until the present time. R.C. Downing passed away in 2007 at the age of 101. They shared a long and adventurous life together. Pat is survived by her brother, Richard Kennan and his wife, Mary, living in Franklin, Tennessee, and their five children. In honor of her final wishes no services are planned.
