Pat Clanton, 77, was born on July 25, 1937, in Dixon, MO. She passed from this life peacefully on March 26, 2015. Pat had been lovingly cared for in her home in Springfield, MO, by her son, David, until January 2015 when she moved to The Manor in Springfield, MO. Pat grew up in Dixon and graduated from Dixon High School in 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, David Dale Clanton on September 27, 1955. They began their family in Colorado Springs, CO, during the years Dale served in the Air Force. They later relocated to Marshfield, MO, where Pat worked at Sho-Me Power while raising her family. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchild. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Moler of Springfield, MO, brother Don Bowman and wife Susan of Houston, TX, son David Clanton of Springfield, MO, daughter Vicky Kinney and husband Doug, granddaughter Keara Kinney, and grandson Nicholas Kinney, wife Nicole, and great-granddaughter Matilda, all of Kansas City, MO, nieces, nephews and other family. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Dale Clanton, and father, Guy Homer Bowman. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, March 30, 2015, with a visitation from noon until the time of service at Gorman-Scharpf funeral home in Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Dixon, MO. The family would also like to thank the staff of The Manor at Elfindale for the care they provided for Pat the past two months.
