Patricia 'Pat' Virginia Buckley, age 92, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on January 28, 2021, from complications of a stroke. Born on July 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Diva A. Harrison of Kansas City, MO. She married James 'Jim' Charles Buckley on January 20, 1951. A mere month after her wedding, Pat happily embraced the role of Army Wife as she and Jim relocated to Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, where Jim served for two years. The coupled welcomed their first son, Garrett Hutton, while at Camp Chaffee. In 1953 the couple returned to their hometown of Kansas City where they welcomed their second son, Mark Christopher, and a daughter, Kimberly Dee. The family relocated to Springfield, MO., in 1966.

In their 65 years of marriage Pat and Jim enjoyed traveling; earning passport stamps from countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Pat was an accomplished flower and water gardener, a hobby she shared with Jim. Throughout her five decades in Springfield, she enjoyed participating in local art groups, garden clubs, and book clubs. Pat lovingly cared for her mother, Diva, until her passing in 1998.

She is survived by her three children: Gary Buckley (Marti) of Rogersville, MO., Chris Buckley (Joy) of St. Louis, MO., and Kim Honhart (Jon) of Boulder, CO.

Pat was Nana to five grandchildren: Amy Killeen (Martin) of Lincoln, NE., Emily Buckley-Griffin of Springfield, MO., Mark Buckley (Emily) of Rolla, MO., and Elaina and Sophia Honhart of Boulder, CO. She was great grandmother to Peter, Patrick, Liam, and Lucy Killeen; Charlotte Griffin; and Harrison and Leo Buckley.

The family hopes to gather for a spring-time memorial. Pat will rest next to her beloved Jim at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.  Online condolences can be done at www.gormanscharpf.com .
