IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Mary
Barlow Haynes
October 22, 1944 – April 3, 2022
Patricia Mary Barlow Haynes, 77, of Springfield ,MO, left this life and made her journey back home on April 3, 2022.
Pat was born on October 22, 1944 in Flushing, NY. Her parents, Joseph Barlow Sr and Grace Barlow, moved the family from Flushing to Springfield, MO when she was 10. Pat attended Parkview High School and studied at Missouri State University.
While attending Kings Way UMC she met her husband, Robert (Bob) Haynes. They were married June 4, 1966. Pat joked that she spent many anniversaries at the ball fields being Bob's cheerleader but she wouldn't of been anywhere else. One special year Bob gathered his teammates to sing Happy Anniversary to Pat in the stands.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Grace Barlow, her brother Charles Barlow, sister-in-laws Bonita Barlow, Mary Wright, and Joan Coyan. She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Cris Haynes of Bolivar MO, daughter Joy Haynes Jones (Todd) of Boerne, TX, daughter Merrie Haynes-Hanson (Sean) of Idaho Springs, CO, and grand daughter Carrie Jones of Republic, MO. Also surviving is her brother Joseph Barlow Jr (Jacqueline), brothers-in-law Frank Wright, Con Coyan, and Tom Haynes (Debbie), her special cousin Lana O'Toole (Jim) of Wading River NY, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Pat had a zest for life and food. You could find her weekly at Mexican Villa with special friends Kathleen Newton and Gail Bowler or trying a new restaurant with her close friend Lahna Mueller. Pat was an avid Bears Basketball fan and enjoyed season tickets for over 20 years. She was always on the sidelines watching Bob, Joy, Merrie, and Carrie at all their events cheering. Pat was a second 'Mom' to many of Joy, Merrie, and Carrie's friends – everyone knew her. Pat spent many years as president of PTA Boards to fight for all her kids. She will be missed by all.
