Orlin Dee Newman was born on April 1, 1937 in Springfield, MO to Glen and Bonnie Rogers Newman and died on Feb 6, 2015. Dee owned and operated the Professional Building Barber Shop for 25 years and retired from MSU security. Dee officiated softball, football, basketball, and volleyball in the Springfield area for 10 years. He was a 4 year US Navy Veteran and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. In retirement, he made wood lapel pins and enjoyed his coffee shop buddies. Dee was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife Beverly; daughters Deonna Robertson and Gayla Newman; grandchildren Lauren and Samuel Robertson; sisters Glenda Jo Serody and Sammy Kay Hankins; mother-in-law Flo Perkins; and many many friends. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Feb 10, at 11 am at Glendale Baptist Church with Pastor Mitchel Wright officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service.
