Obituary

Omer Lee "O.L." Crain, 80 of Springfield, MO passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 in his home. O.L. was born on April 29, 1934 in Clinton, MO. He was the son of Emmett Crain of Montrose, MO. O.L. was a Tank Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Shirley Ann Cooper on June 6th, 1954 in Leeton, Missouri. O.L. served as a city councilman for Ward 2 in Clinton, MO in 1966. O.L. was the founder of Midwest Tree Service of Clinton, Crain Tree Service of Clinton, and Southwest Tree Service of Springfield. He was also a member of the I.B.E.W Electrical Union and was a Certified Pest Control Tech. O.L. loved fishing, hunting, and poker night during deer season. O.L. is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Ann Crain; children, Rick and Becky Crain of Battlefield, MO, Kathy and Don Johnson, and Tina Crain all of Springfield; grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon, Megan, Tallen, Seth, Brandy, LaShawnda, and Samantha; eight great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives.
