Graveside services for Ollie Tillman Whitehead, 99, will be held on Monday, March 16, at 1 p.m., in Springfield National Cemetery, with Sara Lambrith officiating, under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Ollie was born July 17, 1909, to John and Laura Tillman of Rogersville, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Glenn R. Whitehead on July 5, 1928. They had one daughter, Rayma Nadine. Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; seven siblings; and son-in-law, Fred Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Nadine Thompson; four grandchildren, Marsha and Richard Landrith, Nancy and Ray Masner, Keith Thompson, and Mark and Jackie Thompson; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Glenn and Ollie owned and operated Whitehead Cleaners and had been active in the American Legion and Northside Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Hospices of America, Southwest Missouri.
