Ollie Wayne Bench (O.W.), age 86 died May 31, 2013. He was born in Rogersville, MO on November 26, 1926. Ollie was preceded in death by Donna Jean; his beloved daughter, mother Virgie; father Harry; sister Opal, her husband Leon, and brother-in-law, Jean Hayes. Ollie is survived by Bonnie, wife of 65 years; sons, David, Steven (Suzy), Jimmy (Brenda); brothers, Sammy and Gary; grandchildren, Lucas, Charisa, and Jacob; and five great-grandchildren. Ollie joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, for the duration of WWII. After the Navy he worked as a glazier and salesman for over 40 years in the glass business. Ollie was a devoted husband and father, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. As requested by Ollie, private services will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ollie's name to Mercy Hospice Care. Arrangements are under the direction of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
