Norman Pace, 79 , of Mountain Grove, passed away May 13th, 2009 at Manorcare Nursing Home in Springfield . Norman was the middle of three children. Norman and his wife Wilma were married for fifty-nine years. He was the loving husband of Wilma, father of Karen and Karmen, grandfather of Tracy and Blake and great-grandfather of Rhys and Owyn . Norman was a member of the First Christian Church, loved God, his family and his church, serving as a deacon for many years. He was also an upstanding member of the community, serving on the city council in Mountain Grove and a character about town to those who knew him. He retired from Richards Brothers Warehouse where he earned numerous awards, from Ralston-Purina. Norman loved to fish and to work with wood. Norman was a self taught wood worker. One of his most lasting legacies will be the many pieces of furniture he made for his loved ones. He also loved to golf and to bowl, both pastimes he shared with his wife, Wilma. Norman was preceded in death by his Wife Wilma, his sister Margorie Motzkus and his parents Newt and Viola Pace. He is survived by his brother Marvin Pace of Iowa , two daughters, Karen Mattox and her spouse Ron Edwards, Springfield, MO., and Karmen Pace, Liberty, Mo., grandson Blake Pace, Liberty, Mo.; granddaughter Tracy (Pace) Hunt and husband Aaron; and two great-grandsons, Rhys and Owyn Hunt, all of Parker, CO and numerous in-laws and cousins.
