Norma Jeanene Boyer Wheeler, 95, long time Springfield, MO resident, passed away on March 31, 2025 in Fort Worth, TX where she had lived for the past 5 years. She was born on January 29, 1930, in Parma, Missouri to the late Alice and Cecil Boyer.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband Nelson Wheeler; sister, Carol Sue Branum; brothers, Ralph Boyer, Robert Boyer and Gary Boyer; and one grandson, John Mitchell.

Norma is survived by her son Wayne Wheeler (Priscilla), daughter Nancy Mitchell (Eric); five grandchildren, Kristen Weldon, David Wheeler, Molly Mitchell, Anna Walek, Emily Vasquez; six great grandchildren, Carter Andrews, Ray Weldon, Kaylen Weldon, Ella Scarborough, Landon Scarborough and Emmarie Wheeler.

Norma was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Springfield, MO. She was active in her Sunday School and taught preschool children for over 40 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with visitation from 1-2 p.m. Private burial will be held in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
