Obituary

Norma Jean Jones "Sugar" passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, January 21, 2013 of multiple complications from pneumonia, a stroke and a heart attack. She was of the Baptist faith. Norma was born on May 15, 1928 and was married to Leslie West. Together they helped create the "Model T" club, the "Model A" club and the "Heart of the Ozarks" car club in Springfield, MO. Norma retired after 25 years as a school teacher for the disabled. After she was widowed, she married Clarence Jones, of Everton, MO. They had a wonderful, loving marriage for 13 years. They traveled a lot and drove in parades with their model T's and worked together on their farm. Norma was a wonderful, precious, sweet lady that everyone loved. She was kind to everyone, and we will love her and miss her dearly. She is survived by husband, Clarence; brother, Woodie; four stepchildren and their families; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
