Noland Robert Stewart  90, of Springfield, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born in Henrietta, Missouri on July 7th, 1927. Noland joined the Army as a typist in 1945. He married Virginia Graham of Henrietta on July 5th, 1953.

After graduating from Central Missouri State University, he and his wife lived in Kansas City before settling in Springfield. Noland retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance after working as a Claims Adjuster for many years. During retirement, he filled his days with woodworking in the garage, hunting with his friends, and enjoying libations at the Elks Lodge 409.

Known to his friends as "Stu", he spent many Wednesday's and Friday's at legendary Table 6. He was a loyal friend to many and always the life of the party. His friends will remember his kind spirit and love for the outdoors.

Noland is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia (Graham) Stewart, his daughter and son-in-law, Nola Kay (Stewart) McCandless and Dean McCandless of Springfield, MO, three grandchildren: Jeremy Mccandless, Melissa McCandless, and Courtney (Parsel) Straub, and two great-grandchildren: Paxton and Parker McCandless, all of Springfield, MO.

Preceding him in death: his parents, Russell and Blanche (Noland) Stewart, his sister, Billie Ann (Stewart) McCracken, and his daughter, Cindy (Stewart) Parsel.

Visitation services will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Brentwood, Springfield, MO, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. and graveside service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Elks Lodge #409 in Springfield, MO.
