Nola K. Thomas Getty Zapart, 95, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on January 14, 2023.
She was born in Barry County, Missouri, to Fred Orban Thomas and Susie Hilton Thomas, on May 20, 1927. In 1944, she married John Halsey Getty, with whom she farmed in Aurora, Missouri, until his death in 1966. She continued to farm after his death for many years.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, John Halsey Getty and Bruno Zapart; her daughter, Toni Ellen Getty Roush, a grandson, Seamus John Mulvihill, and a grandson-in-law, Gene Wood. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Henry Mayward Thomas, Anna Marie Thomas Bowling, Wanda Lillian Thomas Bowling, Edna Delanna Thomas Rinker, William Robert Thomas, and Pearl Geneva Thomas.
She is survived by a daughter, Alnita Merylene Getty Mulvihill and her husband Thomas; a son-in-law, William (Bill) Roush, all of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tammy Roush Mast and her husband Tom, Eric Lee Roush and his wife Dee, Karen Susie Roush Wood, and Kalysta Mulvihill Rogers and her husband Charles. Nola had five great-grandchildren, Jacoby Mast, Nikki Wood, Nakita Wood, Benjamin Rogers, and Allison Rogers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
At Nola's request, there will be no funeral service, viewing or formal memorial service. She gave instructions that her cremains be placed with her husband John Halsey Getty in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, Missouri.
