Nina Oleta Westrup, 102, Springfield, passed away on Tuesday March 27, 2012. She was born January 7, 1910, near Warrensburg, Mo. to Roy and Beulah Bartholomew. She graduated from Central Missouri State College and taught school for many years in the Warrensburg area, several in a one-room school. She married Lt. Col. Charles Westrup, an Army officer, and lived in various places in the U.S. and in Europe. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Gret Russell; her grandson Scott Shelton; and her husband, Charles She has lived in Springfield for the past 50 years and was a member of the Willard United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter Jane Shelton and husband Wayne; granddaughter Christie Martin and husband Vince; and great granddaughter Faye; grandson Kent Shelton; and granddaughter Anne Shelton. She also is survived by one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 30 at Gorman Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, 1947 E.
