Neysa Nicolaye Robson left her devoted daughters, Marilynn June and Sylvia Patrice, on Sept. 30, 2011 after a long decline due to Alzheimer's Disease. Neysa was born June 17, 1917 in Huron, SD., to James Noble Nicolaye and Nellie Clark Nicolaye. She spent most of her youth in Kansas City, MO where she met and married W.A. Robson. Neysa and W.A. had 3 daughters: Diana Caroline, Marilynn June and Sylvia Patrice. Neysa loved and enjoyed her 2 grandchildren, Erin and Chris and great-grandson, Max and her 2 son-in-laws, Bobby Chatfield and Robert Warren. She and W.A. also spent many wonderful years in retirement at Lake of the Ozarks with memorable visits from relatives and friends from the K.C. area, Memphis and New Mexico. Neysa was preceded in death by daughter Diana and husband W.A. Neysa was a wonderful homemaker and hostess with extraordinary talents in sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was a lifelong dog lover and her cocker spaniel, Jack, was her companion to the end. Neysa cherished her Irish Catholic faith and was a fun-loving person who liked going to the theater, playing cards and most of all just being with family and pets. The family would like to express deep gratitude to Dr. Ovais Zubair and his staff, Hospice Compassus and the many faithful caregivers and spiritual ministers who provided loving care for Neysa during the years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association , Immaculate Conception Church, the Humane Society or the charity of choice. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at 2337 S. Holland, Springfield, MO on Sat., Oct. 8, 2011. A memorial Mass and private graveside services will be held at a later date.
