IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Neal A.
Brandt
January 25, 1954 – February 19, 2025
Neal Alan Brandt, age 71, of Springfield, MO passed away on February 19, 2025 at 10:23 pm at Cox South Hospital. He was the son of Lawrence Robert and Della Mae Brandt and born in Tulsa, OK. Neal graduated from Parkview High School in 1972, then attended Southwest Missouri State University for 2 years where he met Sandy, got married, and started a family.
He worked several jobs over the years, including Kiddie Carts, Allen Rents, Thrifty Imports, Friendly Ford, Kenny Amusement, and Cinema Productions.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Brandt, whom he married on January 3rd, 1976; father, Lawrence Robert Brandt; mother, Della Mae Brandt; and brother-in-law, Alan Frericks.
Neal is survived by his wife, Judith Brandt, Springfield, MO, whom he married on June 2nd, 2007; daughters, Sarah Brandt of Lee's Summit, MO, Julie and husband, Eric Dantes of Cutchogue NY; Katy Hensley of Springfield MO; Heather McMurry of Seattle WA; Sara and husband, Darin Hampton of Piedmont, MO; sister, Nancy Frericks of Springfield, MO; brother, Steve and wife, Candace Brandt of Rogersville MO, and John and wife, Rebecca Brandt of Columbia MO; grandchildren, Andy, Ben, and Cassie Brandt, Lilabeth, Elleka, Millie and Jack Dantes, Owen Hensley, Jacob and wife Aubrey Cheney, Abby Cheney, Abby, Nancy, and Millie Hampton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and many pseudo-daughters who considered the Brandt house their second home growing up. Neal absolutely loved it and always made sure the coke machine was full of soda and the freezer stocked with corn dogs to feed whomever was around.
Neal was the dad who knew anyone and everyone, he could even tell you what kind of ice cream someone ordered back in his Kiddie Cart days. He could talk your ear off telling stories which became more and more grandiose over the years. He was always there for his family and friends in any capacity needed. Raising three girls is a lot, but he made it look effortless and endlessly fun. When two more daughters joined the ranks, instead of slinking away in defeat, he happily took the lead and blended us together perfectly.
We will never forget "Neal barn, head jackass speaking!" Love you always honey, dad, papa, grandpa, brother, uncle, friend, and baldy.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Lost & Found Grief Center of the Ozarks.
