Nancy Ruth Helm (nee Anderson), age 90, passed away on March 13th at home, after a long illness.

Nancy grew up in Springfield. She worked in the banking industry for several years, including Union National Bank where she met and married Morris J. Helm. She left the bank to be a stay-at-home mom for their two boys and provided a wonderful family life with her steadfast and loving guidance. Nancy and Morris were married for 63 years before his death in October 2023. She was a voracious reader all her life, possessed a sharp and wry wit, and always enjoyed good coffee and good conversation.

She is survived by son Bruce, of Springfield; son Scott (wife Cora) and granddaughter Sarah, all of Helena, Montana.

There will be an open visitation from 2:00 - 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Clear Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to may make a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, or the Salvation Army, or a charity of their choice.
