Nancy Bedell, remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, graced our world from her arrival on January 2, 1952 to her departure on August 17, 2012. Nancy was the daughter of the late Peter and Stella DeLisi, born in New York and resided there during her early years of life. Her brother Ed, of Indianapolis, and sister Barbara, of St. Louis, survive her. As a young woman, Nancy delivered five wonderful and beloved children, Alex, Dana, Shane, Theresa and Tom. These children, and their mates, Priscilla, Dave, Jessica and Terri were the lights of her life and provided her with eight precious grandchildren, each of whom were exceptionally near and dear to her heart. Britni, Kiara, Kyra, Marcus, Roland, Ronisha, Tasha and Tia were jewels that glistened in her eyes. More recently, a new generation of cherished great-grandchildren began with the addition of Amariana, Caiden and Riley. Subsequently, Nancy met and married Larry, her devoted husband, with whom she shared a passionate and unconditional love for thirty-three years and eternity. Not surprisingly, Nancy had some special friends and relatives including Becky, Dolores, Jennie, Lisa, Tina and so many others who were recipients of her gift of hospitality. Apart from her dedication to her family and friends, Nancy simply loved life and possessed a unique, dry, even wicked, sense of humor. Everyone always had an awareness of celebration in her presence. She genuinely enjoyed the time she spent in landscaping, gardening and plant maintenance, cooking, decorating and supervising Larry and the family. Nancy was a memory maker. Even in her last months and days she created memories that will be passed down and shared so that she will be truly be remembered forever.
