Nan Carol Beach, 77, of Rogersville, MO passed away on April 4, 2018 surrounded by her family and close friends, after battling leukemia for the past eight months.
Nan was born on August 16, 1940 to Clark and Gladys Drake. She grew up in Berryville, AR where she made many lifelong friendships. Her classmates were the best at staying in touch for the past 60 years. Nan worked her entire life in careers that kept her surrounded by great people. She loved being around people and that is where she was happiest. For the last 20 plus years she worked at Harter House, where she loved working with her friends and seeing her favorite people daily. She worked hard but still always devoted time to give even more, by volunteering at Mercy Hospital for years at the Information Desk.
Nan was a person that you could always count on and would truly help anyone in times of need. Friendly, spunky, and outgoing only begins to describe her personality as she was loved by many. She loved people, but above all she loved her grandsons passionately. Her only great-grandson, Bennett, has made the last 20 months of her life so much brighter.
Nan is survived by her daughter Lisa Michener McClure and her husband Patrick; grandsons Adam Spaulding and wife Randi, Aaron Spaulding and Andrew Spaulding; and great-grandson Bennett Spaulding. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Beach in 1996.
Nan had the greatest physicians and nurses caring for her recently. Many special thanks to Dr. Lou Harris, Dr. Leo Shunyakov, Dr. Anthonia Ekpenike, Becky Kahmke for their medical guidance. Mercy Hospital nurses on 4C and 7A went above and beyond with the highest quality of care and compassion that one could ask for.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and services will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at 10:00 am at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
