IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Minnie Lee
Parker
July 29, 1927 – November 4, 2021
Minnie Lee Parker passed away on November 4, 2021 with family members by her side.
Minnie was the youngest child born to Rosie Davis and Alfred Tillman in Bigelow, Arkansas on July 29, 1927.
She moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1948 with her two sons, Nathaniel Mosley, Jr. (deceased), and William G. Mosley, Sr.
In 1955 she married Nathaniel Parker to whom she was married until his passing in 1990. Subsequently, she met the love of her life, Glenn A. Burkart, whom she enjoyed the best years of her life with.
Minnie enjoyed traveling and lived in New York, Minnesota, and Colorado during her life.
Minnie worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for several years before changing careers and working for Dayco where she retired in 1984.
She took pride in raising three of her eldest grandchildren as her own, Natalee E. Mosley, Bill Mosley, Jr., and Sabrina A. Parker. She once quipped, "that it was one of the best things I have done in my life." Affectionately known as "Cakes" or "Miss Minnie" by most family and friends, she was simply known as "Mama" to the three of us.
Minnie is survived by her son William Mosley, Sr. (Stephanie) of Springfield, MO, Natalee Mosley of Springfield, MO, Bill Mosley, Jr. (Anedra) of Springfield, MO, Sabrina A. Parker of Atlanta, GA, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Davis and Alfred Tillman, her brother Gentry Lee Tillman, her son Nathaniel Mosley, Jr., and her significant other, Glenn A. Burkart.
