Mildred was born on November 1, 1961 in Dyer, Tennessee to Thomas and Annie Mae. In 1967, Mildred moved to Springfield, where she built her life and later welcomed her beloved son, Christopher Watson, and gained a daughter, Patricia Tureaud.

Mildred was what many would call the life of the party. She had a vibrant spirit that brought joy and laughter to every room she entered.Loving and sweet to all she met, Mildred also wasn't afraid to tell it like it was - her honesty was just one of the many qualities that made her so special. She deeply loved her son, daughter and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them. They were her pride and joy, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

Mildred received her wings on February 28, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Alvin Watson; her mother, Annie Mae Tucker; her sisters, Linda Watson, Ellen Dean McCain and Betty Mae; her brother, Samuel Tucker and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memory her son, Christopher Watson; her daughter, Patricia Tureaud; her grandsons Kasen Kemp and Amari Watson and her granddaughters Neveah Watson, Aniyah Watson and Jazlyn Watson. She is also survived by her sisters Cola Small and Joyce Ann Bond; brother, AC Watson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time at 12:30 PM Saturday, March 14, 2026 in the funeral home. Full obituary will be posted soon.
