Mildred Elizabeth Lehar was born March 2, 1923 to Albert and Alice Simon in Springfield Missouri. She passed away December 11, 2016. She was a graduate of Senior High School in 1941. She was united in marriage to Rudy Lehar on April 19, 1945 until his death in October of 2000. In September of 1946 she gave birth to a baby boy, Michael Dennis Lehar. She was a dedicated employee to City Utilities for 35 years until her retirement. She enjoyed her coworkers and always loved the challenge of learning the company. She excelled at every job the company gave her and continued moving up with the company.

Mildred was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband Rudy; grandmother Elizabeth; uncle Otto; brother Howard; and sister Violet.

Survivors include her son Mike Dennis Lehar; grandchildren Michael and Joyce Lehar, Nancy Lehar, and Kevin and Michele Kelso; great-grandchildren Glennia, Eddie, Shawna, Michele, Jared, Taylor, Matthew, Kody, and Whitney; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 15, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
