Mildred Cornelia Hamilton, 96, of Springfield, MO died on Thursday, August 1, 2013 in James River Care Center. Mildred worked as a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Frank Raney for many years. She took a real delight in hand sewing baby blankets each week for the babies who were born at St. John's and could use a blanket when they were ready to go home. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church and St. John's Auxiliary for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hamilton and sisters, Georgia May Box and Katheryn Crawford. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Hamilton and wife Paula, Portland, OR; son, David L. Hamilton and wife Nichol, Springfield, MO; grandson, Garrick Hamilton and wife Katie of St. Louis along with their children Kellen, Ainsley and Carrigan Hamilton; grandson Seth Hamilton, Kansas City, MO and fiancée Maggie Cromley; grandson, Hayden Hamilton and wife Stephanie, Portland, OR along with their son Jake; and grandson, Michael Hamilton of Portland, OR. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 from 10:00am to 11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boulevard Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
